Introduction

Vanke Fantasy Mansion is the first building product with whole-process industrial design in Shenzhen, and the first case of industrialized residential project launched in the market in South China. How to create a “small and delicate” living space through refined scheme design and industrial prefabrication and assembly is an interesting challenge.

To overcome the shortcomings of traditional apartment buildings design, such as monotonous space and weak interaction, we planned 209 residential units with 42 square meters and 86 square meters. Through the “L” layout in the single floor plan, diverse combination of unit types, the placement of public space, we transformed traditional apartment buildings into a residential community that is both private and easy to social.

The industrialized prefabrication degree of the project reaches 50%, which means, except for the foundation frame structure, which adopted cast-in-place technology, all other building components were constructed in the form of factory prefabrication and on-site assembly, realizing the integrated control of the whole process of architectural design, interior design and component design for the first time. The façade design makes full use of the fabricability of concrete and outlines the changeable texture of the exterior wall through prefabricated design and orderly assembly, so that the whole building showcases simple and orderly beauty.

The successful implementation of the project is not only an integrated practice of CAPOL in the field of industrial design, but also a comprehensive confirmation of the effect in building quality, construction cycle, energy conservation, environmental protection and other aspects, and has made a positive contribution to the technical research, standard construction and intensive and standardized production of components. From the design up to now, the industrial design difficulty coefficient and technical content involved in the project are still in the forefront of the industry.
