Introduction

Adjacent to Longsheng Station, TIARA is the first masterpiece of MTR group’s model of “rail transit + community comprehensive development” in the mainland. As a subway maintenance station, the irregular shape and low load bearing capacity caused by its complex functions make it necessary to take the multi-dimensional factors such as residential image, structure selection, and construction into consideration at the beginning of planning.

In the overall planning and layout, to address the huge elevation difference of the plot, part of the elevation in Bai area is raised to connect with the platform area, and the lifting space is used as a parking lot. Low density residential products with 3, 7 and 15 floors are set up in the platform area; 9 high-rise and super high-rise residential products with 31-50 floors are arranged in point layout in the long and narrow Bai area, so as to reduce the surface width of buildings and maintain the spacing between buildings. The central landscape garden area with more than 10000 square meters is reserved in the middle of the project to provide activity places for residents, so that the broken land can be reactivated.

The Metro Depot platform adjacent to the urban main road completely separates the project from the city. Therefore, based on the planning and layout, the vehicle flow line sets up a vehicle ramp around the outer ring of the base, connects the urban trunk road to the top of the platform, climbs through the long slope, and enters the residential area. Scenes of life gradually unfold themselves, fully activating the vitality of the land. Meanwhile, multiple pedestrian entrances and exits create the possibility for residents to shuttle between city life and residential life.

In the face of its location advantages of a transportation hub and complex land conditions, from planning, structure to transportation, the site restrictions are constantly transformed into design possibilities, so as to truly enrich residents’ experience on rail infrastructure land.
